Experts visit quarry blast homes

Health and Safety Executive officers are expected to visit the site where a quarry blast sent debris smashing into nearby homes.

At least five homes in Kilsyth, north Lanarkshire, were damaged when a controlled explosion at a nearby quarry sent rocks flying further than expected.

No-one was injured in the blast.
