MP calls for football replay system

A Nationalist MP has called for TV evidence to be used to settle big match flashpoints after England's World Cup defeat by Germany.

Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil said England were "cheated" when Frank Lampard appeared to equalise with a shot which crossed the line after hitting the crossbar but it was not given by officials.

Mr MacNeil said it's time for football to follow other sports like tennis and rugby which use technology to decide similar close calls during games.
