Salmond to launch SNP manifesto

First Minister Alex Salmond is to launch the SNP's election manifesto, telling voters that a hung parliament offers Scotland the "greatest opportunity".

With recent polls pointing to the possibility of no one party having an overall majority at the House of Commons, Mr Salmond will argue the SNP could secure gains for Scotland.

His party's manifesto, which he will launch in Glasgow, sets out the Nationalists' vision of creating 60,000 green energy jobs over the next decade.
