Fatal crash teenager detained

A teenage motorist who caused the death of a 15-year-old passenger in a horror crash in his car has been locked up for three years.

Lauren Roberts, from Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire, died after the crash on the A90 Peterhead to Aberdeen road in May last year.

Inexperienced driver Paul McLean, 18, had been driving too fast for the wet conditions, causing his car to swerve and crash into another vehicle.
