NHS payouts hit £36m in two years

NHS blunders have resulted in £36 million in compensation payouts in the last two years, it has emerged.

This period has seen the highest and second highest bills for NHS clinical negligence, according to the figures released by the Tories.

It was also reported that the family of a boy left disabled through a hospital blunder received £5.25 million in Scotland's biggest compensation payout.
