Three men, including two men from Glasgow, have been cleared of taking part in a countrywide counterfeit currency "business" that put millions of pounds worth of fake notes in people's pockets.
The illicit operation, involving a number of others who will be sentenced later, began with bogus 50 euro notes being produced in Glasgow, before manufacturing then moved to London with a new production line for £20 lookalikes.
London's Snaresbrook Crown Court heard police watched as some of those involved bought "specialist" printing and "foiling" equipment", sometimes using false names as well as "alternative delivery addresses" to avoid suspicion.
