Budget bill passes Holyrood hurdle

The Scottish Government's £33 billion budget has passed another Holyrood hurdle.

MSPs on Holyrood's Finance Committee approved the second stage of the Budget Bill's passage through Parliament.

This sets the scene for a major debate on January 28 in which ministers will find out whether they have persuaded enough opposition MSPs to back the budget.
