THE TWO biggest music festivals in the country announced the majority of their respective line-ups for this year's events.
RockNess and T in the Park are held in high esteem by both festival goers and the music industry. RockNess scooped the "Best Small Festival" Award at last Thursday's NME Awards, this follows on from the "Line Up of the Year" accolade it lifted at the UK Festival Awards a few months ago.
Scottish rockers Glasvegas have been announced to appear on the main stage at the festival at Dores near Inverness. Among those revealed to be joining them that weekend will be Mark Ronson, Groove Armada, Katy B, Magnetic Man and Example. Kasabian, Chemical Brothers and Paolo Nutini had already been named as headliners.
Meanwhile further down the country closer to the other end of the A9 at Balado, visitors to T in the Park wil be able to enjoy Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Beady Eye and 90s favourites Pulp. Also gracing the stages will be Tom Jones and a host of others. Visit www.rockness.co.uk and www.tinthepark.co.uk for the full line-ups.
