PUPILS from Carnbroe Primary jumped at the chance to spring into action and help with a clean-up of Cairnhill Woods.
Youngsters from Primary Four and Five cleared up litter from the local beauty spot, filling several binbags.
The event was organised by countryside rangers from Drumpellier Country Park in conjunction with the annual Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign.
Countryside ranger Jackie Gilliland said: “We try to encourage the local community to use these woodland areas and it’s a never-ending task to keep on top of litter. Local contributions are vital – Carnbroe Primary have a particular interest in this site and the kids were fantastic.”
