AN Airdrie shoplifter got in a Wii bit of bother when he nicked four consoles games from a town centre shop.
Gary Hutton (30) of Milton Street was also found in public with an ornamental samurai sword.
Hutton, who appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court, admitted stealing the games from WH Smith in Graham Street on June 16, this year.
And he pled guilty to being in possession of the sword in High Street.
Tony Linden, defending, said his client was leading a chaotic lifestyle at the time after falling out with his partner.
Mr Linden said: “He was sleeping where he could and let himself go by drinking and taking drugs.
The court sentenced Hutton to 150 hours community service and 18 months probation.
