ASPIRING young film-makers are being invited to apply for places on evening courses running at Airdrie Academy.
Classes in animation and film will take place every Thursday for 20 weeks. There will also be two one-day shoots at weekends.
The animation course began last week, but newcomers are still welcome to begin attending. The film school commences on October 22. Both courses are free and open to youngsters aged between 15 and 18. The animation class at the South Commonhead Road school takes place from 6-9pm each week and the film school from 6.30-9pm.
The courses are run by Lensheads Film School, which recently received a lottery grant of more than £29,000 from the First Light group to help North Lanarkshire youngsters to produce their own films.
No experience is necessary to sign up for either of the classes. For more details and to apply, call 01698 746260 or visit www.thelearningcentre.org/lensheads
