Man dies in Baillieston house blaze

A 50-YEAR-OLD man has died in a house fire in Baillieston.

Brian Watson, of Berridale Avenue, was found dead at the scene, despite efforts by attending paramedics last Friday evening.

Two fire appliances attended the incident and found a well-developed fire which was tackled by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus.

Strathclyde Fire and Rescue officers extinguished the fire and found the body of Mr Watson in the house.

A forensic examination of the house was carried out and there appears to be no suspicious circumstances.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
