Nursery child has swine flu virus

A CHILD at an Airdrie nursery has swine flu.

The case of the H1N1 influenza virus at Croft Park Nursery was confirmed yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) by NHS Lanarkshire as the Advertiser went to press.

The establishment on Forrest Street in Clarkston will not be closing its doors, but some youngsters who came into contact with the affected child will be given anti-viral drugs such as Tamiflu as a precaution.

Croft Park, a private nursery which remains open during the school summer holidays, caters for pre-school youngsters aged between six weeks and five years.
