More Sunday trains for Christmas

CHRISTMAS shoppers can take advantage of extra Sunday train services from Airdrie and Whifflet to Glasgow, starting from this weekend.
Passengers travelling from Airdrie can reach the city centre without worrying about parking difficulties by using an additional half-hourly service which will run to and from Glasgow between 9.14am and 5.44pm.
There will be a similar service of two trains per hour from Whifflet to Central station between 9am and 6.15pm, with an hourly return service from Glasgow to the Monklands destination.
Full details including specific times can be obtained from operator Scotrail’s leaflet of Extra Sunday Services, which will soon be available on their website, www.firstscotrail.com, and at stations.
