Airdrie Academy present an original Christmas pantomime

AIRDRIE Academy turned the Cinderella story on its head with a very creative, alternative Christmas pantomime.

Raiders of the Lost Slipper contained elements of Indiana Jones, Cinderella and Tomb Raider and told the story of Larella Croft, played by pupil Lauren Daly.

The panto started at the end of the Cinderella story but the lead character’s slipper is stolen and the evil fairy gothmothers wind the clock back to the beginning, resulting in much fun and madness.

S3 to S6 students performed the show for three nights and were extremely delighted with the audience response.

The pantomime required a large grant from the lottery fund that enabled it to contain up-to-date technology, back projects animation and special effects and the school wish to thank all involved for their excellent work.
