And the winners are... all Golfhill Primary pupils
GOLFHILL Primary seven pupils turned into budding Steven Spielbergs as part of a cinema project.
A bear called Buddy arrived in a box all the way from America asking the kids to help him become a famous movie star.
The children worked in groups to investigate different aspects of cinema and then scripted, directed, and created sets for, their own films.
To learn more about the industry, the pupils visited Coatbridge’s Showcase Cinema to find out about projection.
Six films were made; ‘I Do’, ‘Wacky Wedding’, ‘Mission Unbearable’, ‘The Circus’, ‘The B Factor’ and ‘Primary School Musical.’
To celebrate their achievements, the school held an Oscars ceremony with invited guests. Parents chose the winners and awards were given out, with ‘The B Factor’, starring Buddy the bear, claiming the Best Film prize.
