Scottish tour for Caledon

CALEDON, Scotland’s Tenors, featuring Alan Beck from Coatbridge, are performing in Lanarkshire tomorrow night as part of their 2008 Scottish tour.

The trio who in the past have performed for 50,000 Scotland fans at Hampden, will take to the stage at Motherwell Civic Centre.

The ‘Always To Be Here Tour’ includes a selection of songs from their new album including Amazing Grace, Mull of Kintyre and Scots Wha Hae as well as a selection of Scottish pop hits including The Proclaimers’ classic 500 Miles.

The tenors, who met at music college, formed Caledon to celebrate Scots song and for the fun of singing together.

They have completed sell-out tours of North America, Australia and New Zealand and performed at the Edinburgh International Festival where they made their first recording.

In anticipation of being back on home soil, Alan said: “We’re looking forward so much to getting around Scotland again.

“It’s always great to be in front of your own. Our Scottish audience have been so loyal and terrific at getting the word out about us.

“We are indebted to each and every one of them.”

Tickets priced £12, £11 and £10.50 are available from Motherwell Concert Hall box office on 01698 403120.
