Arctic adventure at Arts Centre

DISTINGUISHED Arctic traveller and photographer John Dunn will be giving a talk in Airdrie next month.

John’s visit is the second in the new season of Illustrated Talks presented by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) and takes place in Airdrie Arts Centre, in Anderson Street.

John returns by popular demand from Canada with a talk called ‘Devon Island...Journeys on the Wild Side.’

The event will be a richly illustrated lecture about his ski expeditions on the eastern half of Canada’s Devon Island - a classic High Arctic Wilderness - where the open waters of northern Baffin Bay wash against a landscape of ice caps and glaciers.

The event takes place on Thursday, November 6, at 7.30pm.
