Wrestling: Returning to home town is all the Rage

BIG-TIME wrestling action will return to Airdrie this weekend by popular demand.

The town hall is playing host to a Premier British Wrestling event on Sunday night from 7.30pm.

Airdrie grappler TJ Rage will be the star attraction as he faces the up-and-coming Scott Renwick.

When asked about his fight, the Rage said: “The last time I was in my home town, I lost to El Ligero but this time I will leave my mark.

“The biggest mistake Renwick can make is if he shows up on the night but if he does, we all know what I can do.”

Promoter Ross Watson added: “This fight will see the experience and determination of Renwick go up against the strength and attitude of Rage. It will be a great scrap.”

The show’s main event is a tag-team battle that will bring together Scotland’s top two wrestlers, Lionheart and Wolfgang, for a contest with Rob Cage and Darkside.

Tickets for the event are priced at £10 and available on the door on the night from 7pm.
