Paul reclaims top spot in awards table

HITMAN Paul Di Giacomo has reclaimed top spot in the Airdrie United player of the year competition.

The former Kilmarnock striker’s man-of-the-match accolade against Partick Thistle on Sunday saw him go a point clear of Stephen Robertson.

Bobby Barr continues to lead the Albion Rovers version of the competition, with midfielder Ciaran Donnelly his closest challenger.

At the end of the season, the top player at Airdrie and Rovers will be presented with a trophy. The awards are kindly sponsored by the Gillespie Investment Group.

Airdrie player of the year leaderboard: 15 - Di Giacomo; 14 - Robertson; 11 - Scott McLaughlin; 10 - Bobby Donnelly.

Rovers player of the year leaderboard: 19 - Barr; 14 - Donnelly; 11 - Pat Walker; 9 - Marc Pollock.
