Warriors head south for challenge match

MONKLANDS Warriors Rugby League club are gearing up for competitive action this weekend.

The local outfit are travelling to Salford to take on Folly Lane, with a trophy being presented to the winners.

Following the match, the Warriors youngsters will watch the Salford City Reds’ National League fixture against the Batley Bulldogs.

Head Coach Les Obre said: “It should be a great experience for the kids.”

The Warriors team for the trip to Salford is: Callum MacKay (captain), David Urban, Robbie Smith, Lewis Hanlon, Calum Obre, Chris Hill, Aidan McGhee and Stewart Campbell.
