Waysiders/Drumpellier face local derby test

WAYSIDERS/DRUMPELLIER RFC are back in action this weekend when they travel to Lanarkshire neighbours Dalziel.

The derby duel at Cleland (kick-off 3pm) is the first of several warm-up fixtures before the National League Three campaign begins at the end of next month.

Coach Jon Shaw said: “We will start work on the systems we want to use when the season gets under way and this game will give us an indication of where we are in terms of fitness.

“It is a case of getting them back into contact and adding a competitive element.”
