Easter Moffat event will go with a swing

EASTER Moffat Golf Club is hosting its Pro-AM this Sunday.

A strong field consisting of 42 teams will take part in the event which includes European tour player Andrew Oldcorn.

The competition is being sponsored by local IT company, Dovecote Park Technologies (DPT), from Airdrie.

Pro-AM tournament convener, John Dunlop, said: “I would like to thank Kennedy Thomson of DPT for their kind sponsorship of the event and I am sure it will be a great day.

“This is our fifth year now holding this tournament but this looks to be the best field of professionals we have ever had enter the tournament.

“I would also like to thank all of the members and companies that have entered teams this year.”

The first tee-time is at 7.50am. The 2007 competition title was shared by Airdrie golfer Graham Rankin and Balbirnie Park’s Steven Duncan.

Mr Kennedy added: “We are delighted to sponsor the event and with the help of some good weather, this should be another memorable day.”
