IRN-BRU SECOND DIVISION:
ALBION ROVERS 0
STIRLING ALBION 1
A CONTROVERSIAL goal from Craig McLeish sentenced Albion Rovers to a fifth defeat in seven games.
The midfielder's 11th-minute strike at Cliftonhill on Saturday had initially been ruled out because of an offside flag.
But following a discussion between the linesman and referee Crawford Allan, McLeish's effort was allowed to stand.
Rovers were further incensed when they had penalty claims turned down following a Brian Allison challenge on John Gemmell in the area.
Stirling's John Crawley hit the woodwork for the Binos but was sent-off for violent conduct in the closing stages.
Paul Martin's men remain in seventh place in the Second Division table, four points adrift of the promotion play-off zone and three clear of the relegation spots.
