SFL2 round-up

LIVINGSTON moved two points clear at the top of the table following a 2-0 win at home to Forfar Athletic. Robbie Winters opened the scoring for the Lions in the 24th minute with Keaghan Jacobs doubling their advantage midway through the second half. A double from sharp-shooter Rory McAllister helped Brechin City defeat Alloa Athletic 3-1 at Glebe Park. Calum Booth put the hosts in front with the Wasps netting courtesy of David Gormley either side of McAllister's brace. The SFL's biggest winners on the day were East Fife who hit rock-bottom Dumbarton for six in an incredible game at New Bayview. On-loan Hibernian hitman Kurtis Byrne bagged a hat-trick with Lloyd Young, Bobby Linn and Robert Sloan also on target in a stunning 6-0 romp. Peterhead were denied their first league win of the season in injury time as Ayr United rescued a late point. Paul Emslie gave the Blue Toon an 11th minute advantage but Mark Roberts' penalty secured a 1-1 draw for the Somerset Park men.Read
