Calderbank must endure suspension

CALDERBANK UNITED have been suspended from playing Stirling & District AFA fixtures until further notice.

The Monklands club have been handed the punishment after failing to attend an executive committee meeting last Thursday.

The suspension comes just as the team had found some form, after they won their previous two fixtures, although they do have matches scheduled for the coming week.

Meanwhile, Victoria Park kept their silverware dream alive with a 3-2 Strathclyde Cup quarter-final victory over Shawbridge.

The Strathclyde Saturday Morning League Division Two side earned victory in a five-goal thriller to move into the last four.
