A TRIO of Coatbridge footballers celebrated their successful league campaign last weekend by clinching the championship.
Tyne Bradley, Clare Docherty and Natasha Anderson are all part of the Hamilton Accies Girls under-17 squad who claimed the League Championship trophy after a tremendous season.
Scotland Women’s National coach Anna Signeul presented the girls with their league silverware to add to the League Cup and Glasgow Rangers International Tournament trophies which they had already won during a brilliant season.
Accies won the league with a perfect 100 per cent record, seeing off strong competition from Rangers, Celtic, Kilmarnock and the remainder of the teams.
The county team displayed their trophy haul in front of the home fans at New Douglas Park prior to the senior team’s recent league encounter against title challengers Dundee.
Hamilton Academical WFC and GFC now have girls teams at under-11, 13, 15 and 17 level.
They also have two women’s teams who play in the Premier League and SWFL Second Division.
The club are always looking to strengthen all their squads and recruit players for the remainder of this season and the seasons beyond.
The club is fully affiliated to Hamilton Academical FC.
Any girl footballers with a passion for the game, could be playing for Accies in the coming season.
They club is also keen to welcome coaches and administrators who have a passion for the game and who have the drive and determination to make a difference.
