IRN-BRU SECOND DIVISION:
ALBION ROVERS v STENHOUSEMUIR
Tuesday, Cliftonhill, 7.45pm
Rovers are in a desperate state at the bottom of the table after Saturday's 5-2 humbling at the hands of Ayr United. Six defeats in a row has led to them being 12 points adrift of automatic survival.
Opponents Stenhousemuir are three points off the promotion play-off zone and have won two of their last three games but needed an injury-time equaliser to earn a 4-4 draw when the teams faced each other in September.
Rovers team news:
There are selection problems for Rovers. Mick O'Byrne (ankle) is injured long-term with Steven Howarth (hip) also out. Midfielder Chris Boyle (hamstring) is questionable.
Veteran striker Robbie Winters scored a double against Ayr and will play as a trialist for the final time. The 38-year-old must then decide whether or not to accept a contract offer.
December 15, 2012: Stenhousemuir 1 Albion Rovers 0.
A dour match at Ochilview was settled by a mistake from Matt McGinley who allowed Darren Smith's volley into his own net early in the second half.
Manager Todd Lumsden's thoughts:
"What happened on Saturday hurts; it hurts a lot. I try to be objective with my comments but we were poor and our performance was not good enough.
"Some of the players that played at the weekend will get a chance to put right what happened and it is up to them to take it.
"The positive thing for us is that we have a chance to bounce back almost immediately and that is why we need to be upbeat.
"We can't have any division. We need to be pulling in the same direction. The target at the start of the season was to stay in this league. That is still our target."
