IRN-BRU SECOND DIVISION:
ALBION ROVERS v STENHOUSEMUIR
Saturday, Cliftonhill, 3pm
Rovers welcome Stenny looking to improve on a poor run of six defeats in seven games. The Coatbridge side can close the gap on Stranraer, in the relegation play-off spot, to two points if a win is coupled with a defeat for the Blues at Alloa Athletic.
Warriors boss Martyn Corrigan strengthened his squad this week with the signing of ex-Ross County winger Marc Corcoran. Stenny have won just two of their last 10 league games and emerged victorious just once in the same number of SFL2 fixtures on the road.
Rovers team news:
Full-backs Alan Reid and Barry Russell are both suspended for this match. Centre-back Mick O'Byrne (ankle ligaments) is out long-term through injury.
David Crawford should be available after a hamstring strain forced him to miss the defeat to Queen of the South. Defender Kevin Green is also fit again after a gashed foot. In terms of personnel developments, the manager says there has been no movement in or out.
December 15, 2012: Stenhousemuir 1 Albion Rovers 0.
A mistake from keeper Matt McGinley, when he allowed a Darren Smith shot to slip through his hands and into the net, proved the difference between the teams on a cold afternoon at Ochilview.
